Customer Testimonials

I have been an audiophile for over 20 years now. In that time I have tried many different after-market power cables: NBS, Elrod, Cardas, Michael Wolf, Synergistic and Kimber to name a few. I have never heard any other cable sound as good as Scott Hall's Electra Glide cables. I started with an original Ultra Khan mixed in with other cables. I was so pleased I decided to upgrade to an Ultra Khan Statement II Revised/Revelation. Once the UK Statement II Revised settled in, I knew what I had to do. I sold all of my cables (two Elrod Statements, one NBS Monitor 0 and the Ultra Khan Statement II Revised) and ordered four Epiphany's. I now have an all Epiphany system. One Epiphany feeds the Meridian G98 DVD-A/DVD-V/CD Transport, a second feeds the Meridian G68 Preamp/Processor, a third feeds the Edge Electronics NL12 amp and the fourth feeds the Balanced Power Technologies BPT 3.5 Signature power conditioner. Yes it has been a very costly road, but nothing improves the sound of your existing equipment like the Epiphany. It is more than a mere component upgrade, it is more of all your components being upgraded. Actually not upgraded but simply made right. Your desire to change it all again goes away and the music finally becomes the focus. The Epiphany combines the clean deep bass of the original Ultra Khan, with the smooth 3-D midrange of the Ultra Khan Statement II Revised and has a new level of detail and soundstage that I have never heard from any cable before. It did take several days for the cable to really start to shine and I have found it is sensitive to being moved, so once you have them in place, just sit back and enjoy. I have never been more satisfied with my system and my cables.

I feel That Electra glide powercords help to create and bring to life the precious musical emotion that in our favorite recordings much better than any that I have heard past or present. Its about musical magic, and Electra glide has this magic in spades! My professional background:Professor of Radiology and Biomedical Engineering.Musical background:12 years musical education with a diploma in classical piano.Life-long music lover.
Simon Vinitski, Ph.D., Professor of Radiology, Thomas Jefferson University

To describe your cable: the singer gets more volume - a bigger chest and can be located in the room not in the loudspeaker. There is more air, it gets liquid and very, very fast...very neutral, accurate and more realistic. With music of complex structure (i.e.classic) it is quite easy to locate each single instrument. Plus there is a big increase in the finest macro-information and I have the feeling the noise level is lower.

Electra Glide Powercord have transformed my system to the highest level. The Fatman increased dynamics, detail, punch, and bass on my amps and subwoofer. The Fatboy made my processor sing. The P/T Glide Silver gave detail and nuance I have never heard before on my transport. I can hear the detail and musical precision two rooms away from my set up. The best upgrade I ever made. Scott Hall is the master designer and the Powercord King!!

I recently purchased a pair of the highly praised Merlin TSM speakers. I was getting frustrated with the sound. I just was not hearing the soundstage, depth and imaging to the degree I knew they were capable of. I auditioned over a dozen powercords from 5 manufacturers in an effort to bring my system up to the next level. The Shunyata power cords came the closest to what I was looking for. I tried them for over a week. But as much as I liked them initially, I began to realize that they were very highly colored in that they made (to my ears) most of my favorite CDs sound like they were mastered by the same engineer. Soundwise I was getting more hifi and less music - I wanted BOTH. I was getting frustrated and decided to start over again using the supplied stock cords connected to a power conditioner. From the wall to the conditioner I finally tried Electra Glide's Reference Glide 5ft. power cord. The difference was immediate. Just one Electra Glide and two stock 14ga. "throw-a-ways" and I was finaly hearing my Merlin's open up and strut their stuff in a mighty big way. One Reference Glide had blown away the previous cord combination (3 Power Snakes) at one-third the price! Called Scott the next day and shared my experience. I didn't need much more convincing - I immediately ordered two Reference Glides and a Fatboy!

WOW what a difference. Increased the soundstage both vertically and horizontally. There appeared to be greater darkness and huge depth. Say what you want with regards to digital components and Fatboys, but it has improved the detail and the richness of my Audiomeca Mephisto II CD digital playback. The midrange became more lush and a deadringer for an analogue system without the clicks and pops, and the bass became more powerful and tighter. These are by far the best powercords I have ever had and, I have used and gone through plenty. I can't wait to get my upgraded Reference Glide Gold 2000.

We had a great time with the Powershots...I'm quite confident that this is a component my wife & I will never be able to live without now. Bravo!

I just got a pair of your new interconnects today from Stewart at Sanctuary of Sound. They are the new silver reference and I must say that I really like what I hear. I had been using a pair of Designer Reference and I would say that these compare favorably. I think that there is a deeper soundstage and better detail with your interconnects. I was esp. struck by the lack of harshness that is often associated with silver wire and of course these cables are brand new but still no harshness. I have auditioned the Audioquest Amazon which are very smooth but really lacked detail...I found myself straining to hear the detail in the music. I have also had the Nordost Quattro Fil which are very detailed but in my opinion bright and harsh sounding. You seem to have found the right blend of smoothness and detail.

On the recommendation of Stewart at A Sanctuary of Sound, I recently purchased and installed Ghengis Khan and Fatman K power cords into my system. Even without the proper break-in period, they are vastly superior to what I was using (CPCC Top Gun HCFi). The crafsmanship on your cables is also superior and impressive. Kudos, and keep up the good work.
